# Arena

The Arena is Celestria's seasonal ranked PvP competition. Register for the active season, challenge other entrants and build your rating. The Arena screen includes matchmaking, a leaderboard, match history and past contest results.

## Enter a season

Registration makes you available to other registered fighters, even when you are offline or in the Temple. Check the season status and countdown before joining. Fights only open once the Arena has enough participants.

Withdrawing removes you from the season's leaderboard and locks you out until the next season. You keep your match history, but you cannot immediately register again.

## Fight with your build

Arena battles start both fighters at full Life and do not reduce your character's real Life. Your equipment, training and active guardian still matter, so prepare your build before attacking.

You cannot initiate an Arena attack while recovering in the Temple, even though other entrants can still challenge you there.

Choose from the available opponents or refresh the list. There are cooldowns between attacks and against recently challenged opponents; use the timers on screen. Matchmaking can widen its search when few suitable opponents are available, so a suggested opponent is not a promise of an even fight.

## Learn from results

Victories and defeats affect rating. Review your match history and detailed combat logs to see how your build performed. Repeated misses, heavy incoming damage or weak attacks suggest different training and equipment priorities.

Seasonal standings can award vouchers to top fighters. Check the active season and its current reward information for the details.
