# Friends & Community

Celestria has plenty to do alone, but other players can make the journey easier and more memorable. Chat, messages, friends, mentorship, guilds, and partnerships offer different ways to stay connected.

## Chat and messages

Use chat for conversation and quick coordination. Private messages are useful when you want to leave something another player can read later. If a message includes attached items, claim them through the message's item controls.

Player profiles and search help you find people again. For a regular group, consider joining a [guild](guilds.md): its chat and shared activities give you a place to make plans.

## Find a mentor

The Department of the Recently Summoned connects new adventurers with experienced players. Browse available mentors, choose one with space, and use the connection to ask questions about your early progress.

Mentorship lasts through the early levels. The mentorship screen shows progress toward completion and lets you rate your experience afterward. Experienced players can register as mentors once they meet the requirement and choose how many newcomers to guide.

## Bodyguard protection

Players can offer bodyguard protection to someone in the same city. The other player must accept the offer. A character cannot freely combine this role with every activity: existing protection, City Guard duty, and occupied battle slots can prevent a new arrangement.

Check the protection screen and its restrictions before planning travel or combat together.

## Marriage and a shared home

Players can propose and complete a wedding ceremony together. The ceremony has its own confirmations, so sending a proposal alone does not finish the process.

Married partners can arrange to live together in a property. Shared-home access and safe withdrawals have their own permissions. Agree on how you will use the home, its upgrades, and its kitchen before sharing resources.

See [Your Home & Kitchen](property.md) for the practical side of a home together.
