Castle Wars let guilds compete for control of strongholds. They are a coordinated activity with applications, scheduled phases and live battle slots. Start by opening the castle overview and checking the current phase, ownership and next transition.
Organize with your guild#
Your Guild Master handles applications. A guild that already holds a castle must leave it before applying for another, and the number of active applications is limited.
The overview and castle detail pages show applicants, the selected attacker and defender, castle rewards and the state of the battle. Coordinate with your guild before the conflict window so members know which castle needs them.
Use the in-game schedule and countdown as your reference for when to return.
Join a battle slot#
You need to belong to one of the guilds participating in the active battle. Choose an available slot when you are ready. Joining costs Energy and requires a living character who is not recovering from exhaustion.
Some other commitments prevent participation. You cannot join a castle slot while serving as a bodyguard, while protected by a bodyguard, or while on a guild fishing raid.
Joining a castle battle removes newcomer protection. Make sure you are ready for that change before entering.
Prepare before committing#
- Check your Energy and Life.
- Equip your intended class set and active guardian.
- Review buffs, debuffs and other active activities.
- Follow the live slot status and coordinate with guildmates.
Castle ownership and rewards are shown on the castle's detail page. Guild leadership manages ownership decisions, while members contribute by participating when the guild's battle is active.
