A property is a longer-term investment in your life in Astreus. Homes have construction requirements, upkeep, and different limits for the rooms and upgrades they can support.
Choose a home#
Use the property catalogue to compare building materials, gold cost, construction time, upkeep, and upgrade limits. You can own one property at a time; moving to a different type means selling your current home first.
Wait for construction to finish before using its facilities. A more ambitious property also brings larger commitments, so leave some gold available after the purchase.
Rooms, upgrades, and upkeep#
The property interface includes upgrades such as a safe, study, training facilities, museum, library, and kitchen. Each property's limits determine how far these can develop. Read the benefit and cost shown for the next upgrade before buying it.
A safe stores gold up to its capacity. Upgrade it before depositing, and watch your balance alongside the home's upkeep. Check the auto-pay setting and keep enough Gold available. With auto-pay enabled, outstanding upkeep is paid at the next daily settlement.
Married partners can arrange shared living. Partners may help with upgrades, and safe withdrawal permission is controlled separately. A shared kitchen also shares its stoves and storage.
Become an artisan#
The kitchen turns ingredients into dishes and trade goods:
- Choose a recipe your Artisan level supports.
- Supply ingredients and start cooking on an available stove.
- Collect the finished dish.
- Package it, store it, or load it into the trade cart as available.
- Take packaged wares to a Goods Trader.
Stoves, shelf space, and cart capacity limit how much you can prepare at once. Fish can be sliced into ingredients, and farm produce can support recipes. Kitchen work requires returning home to Astreus.
