Gold supports your everyday progress: equipment, services, travel preparation, upgrades, and more. You can earn it through adventures and several quieter pursuits, then decide how much to spend, store, or reinvest.
Choose the right market#
| Place | What it is for |
|---|---|
| City shops | Buying available supplies and equipment, and selling eligible items |
| Exchange market | Buying and selling stackable goods with other players |
| Equipment auctions | Listing and bidding on gear |
| Direct trade | Agreeing on an exchange of eligible items and gold with another player |
| Goods Trader | Buying and selling caravan trade goods |
Read the item details before committing. Level requirements, item restrictions, available stock, and listing fees can affect whether a trade suits you.
The Exchange#
An immediate purchase uses available sell orders. An immediate sale needs an available buyer. A listed order can wait for someone to match it and may expire without filling.
Use Orders to review active listings and History to see completed trades. When choosing auction duration or setting a price, check the displayed fees and totals. A listed price is an offer, not a promise of a sale.
Trade between cities#
Trade goods use caravan capacity. Cities offer different goods, and the trader shows prices and price history to help you judge a route. Mount rentals can increase carrying capacity and shorten travel.
Artisan dishes can also be packaged for your cart and sold as trade goods. The kitchen indicates where a dish is best sold. Balance the expected return against preparation, capacity, and travel time.
Keep a reserve#
The bank stores deposited gold. A home can also provide an upgradeable safe. Keep enough accessible for the services you intend to use and any property upkeep.
